A sequel to the 2016 gothic synth album that aims to outmatch the predecessor in every way.
of $500 goal, spent
First goal - $500, basic funding Second goal - $1000, full funding
Want to help out without a commission?:
So - why the fundraiser?
Melolignia2 is going to be bigger and better than the original in every way. One of the ways it's going to improve in however will require this extra funding. The track count for the sequel will be doubled - we had 10 tracks in the first one, now we will have 20. You can expect the same artists from the first album making a return, but we will also have newcomers. For example - here's Blowitch's track for the album, called "The Hallow Palace":
However - this is not the reason for this funding.
For this album, we're going all out and have decided that each single track should have it's own track art. Yes, that means 20 works of art, not counting the cover art. Now, naturally, nothing is free. Even this name-your-price album which you can download completely for free in the end will consume some of your bandwidth. That is why I've come for help to you guys.
This money will go into commissioning as many artists as I can with those $500. That amount should fund most of it, however not ALL of it. After spending it, it's very possible I would have like 5/6 cover arts still in need to be done. At that point, I would need to round up some of my friends and possibly volunteers to make the rest of those.
However, if we surpass the 500$ mark and actually meet the second goal - 1000$ - I will easily be able to fund all the art and while at it, get some really good artists on board.
How can you help?
As you might have noticed - the progress bar for the fund is in the top right corner of the commission page. This is not without a reason, of course. 70% of all money made from commissions will go straight into this fund. If you want to support this album, the best way to go about that would be just commissioning me. However, if you wish to donate a smaller sum without commissioning me, you can do so with the donate button at the top of this page.
We're really hoping to release the album on Halloween this year. This was actually the last year's deadline, but the ambition, the inevitable cost of this project and many other things on my mind have prevented this album from progressing significantly last year. I hope to finally change that with this public reveal of the fund.
When funded and released, this album will be free to download for everyone to enjoy, just like the first one.

For original pieces of music:
An original composition in chiptune form, either NES/Famicom (max 2 expansion chips) or FM Synth (using VOPM, not actual YM chip emulation), length up to 1:30 mark: 25$ (50$ commercial)
For covers/arranges pieces of music:
A cover/arrange in chiptune form, same as original. Length of original track under 1:30 (contextual, explained later in additional pricing): 20$ (40$ commercial)
(applies both to original and arrange)
For each added 30 seconds to the length of a track: 5$ (10$ commercial)
Sound design/form other than chiptune (for example more modern/electronic): 5$ (10$ commercial)
Special rights to a track commissioned - a highly contextual matter, prices will be discussed upon specification. Example: a video game soundtrack and the rights that come with it = commercial pricing.
(about a covered/arranged track's length: original songs with a motif often repeated or other instances could fit within base pricing, surpassing the 1:30 mark without additional costs.)
- I accept PayPal payments only. - I accept payments both straight away or paid in half before and after I'm done with a commission. Commissions paid for fully prior are prioritized. - Prices are negotiable upon many other factors, only the most common ones being listed here on this commission sheet. - For original pieces of music: a great way to communicate what kind of track I should make is through references.
Hey, I am Adam, but you might better know me as +TEK.
I am a composer and an arranger. I am also interested in nerdy stuff,
such as programming and web development (my most notable work would be this site right here).
My life has been full of music since the very beginning.
I've finished a 4-year long music school in my childhood in order to learn how to play percussion, resulting in me not touching drums ever since.
Instead, I learned to love the sounds of other, melodical instruments. That's where the "composer" and "arranger" part of me started.
I love to listen to any kind of music that had talent put into it. I dislike pop music.
My favorite genre of music is VGM, known as Video Game Music. I especially love the FM sounds of the old shoot'em up games on Genesis or x68k.
I'm influenced by japanese video game music composers. I take the most inspiration from composers such as Yousuke Yasui, Shinji Hosoe or Ayako Saso.
Arranging and composing, as well as programming are all hobbies of mine but I strive to make them something more than that.
